Hello, my name is CJ Miyake. I am a JET in Saitama, Japan, and I made this site for JETs and other ESL/EFL Teachers to share ideas. I have taught in Junior High Schools and Elementary Schools in Japan for 3 years. This is my last year on the program and wanted to create something to help give back to the JET community.

What is Oshieroo?

Oshieroo is a place for teachers teaching English as second or foreign language to come and share ideas. ESL and EFL teachers are spread out throughout the world, Oshieroo.com is the place for them to share and learn new ideas from different parts of the world.

What does Oshieroo mean?

Oshieroo is taken from the Japanese word “Oshieru” which means “to teach.”

Who is Oshieroo for?

Oshieroo is for anyone who teaches English as a foreign or second language. Its for anyone who wants to share the ideas they use in their classrooms so that others can help their students.

Where do I send my questions or comments about the site?

You can use our contact form. This is my first time programming and building a site so there may be bugs here and there. If you run into anything please let me know!
