Great ideas so far. I agree, I try to use other things they are used to or have done and try to bring English into it. Art always works well, one time I made a calendar. I had them draw pictures to decorate the months and we went over the names of the months in English.

Great idea. Always good to get your student's to think a little bit differently. Especially because the students get into these patterns of practicing things and rarely use their heads.

iloveonigiri - you are bound to get a "NO" soon enough, I think the only problem you might have would be for lower levels of English learners. You might want to provide them with a sheet of common phrases or questions like, "Is it __________? and provide a list of adjectives. Nice idea jesus.
