Great idea. My Japanese public schools do this activity to orient the new students to the school.

I've used the exact same idea to teach "Whose is this?" with my junior high students. It works great if you take pictures of things on the teachers' desks in the teacher's room: jackets, cell phones, coffee mugs, pen holders, pictures, common things always there, ect. The students like it a lot. Make it contest while you're at it.
